Delete your account

You can delete your toobusyto account any time. This page explains the two ways to do it and what happens to your data.
Option 1 — from the app
- Open toobusyto and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account at the bottom.
- Confirm. Deletion starts immediately.
Option 2 — by email
Email support@toobusyto.ca from the address on your account with the subject line “Delete my account”. We’ll confirm the request and process it within 5 business days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile (name, photo, bio, phone number).
- Your saved addresses, payment methods (Stripe is notified to delete customer record), and partner Stripe Connect account.
- Your gig history as a customer or partner becomes anonymized: other users in a shared gig still see the gig happened but your name is replaced with “Deleted user”.
- Your messages are scrubbed of personal identifiers.
What we have to keep
Canadian law requires us to keep certain records:
- Payment transaction records — kept for 7 years for tax and anti-money-laundering purposes. These are stored securely and used only for legal compliance.
- Records relating to a pending dispute, investigation, or legal hold — kept until resolved.
Timeline
Deletion happens within 30 days of your request. You’ll receive a confirmation email when it completes.
