What you can post

How posting works

  1. Pick a category. Choose what you need done and a sub-type (e.g. “Moving” → “Help loading a truck”).
  2. Describe the gig. Add details and optional photos so partners know exactly what they’re walking into.
  3. When & where. Pick a time (or leave flexible) and drop a pin on the map or use your GPS.
  4. Review & pay. Confirm the total and pay through Stripe — or use toobusyto credits from previous refunds and promos. Funds are held until the gig is complete; you’re only charged when a partner is assigned.
  5. Pick from bids. Partners apply at your posted price or counter with their own rate. You choose who does the gig.

How pricing works

You set your gig budget — flat-rate or hourly. On top of that we charge a marketplace service fee to keep the platform running, process payments, and support you if anything goes sideways.

Service fee

13% of your gig budget, with a minimum of CAD $2.50. On gigs under about CAD $19.23 the minimum applies; above that it’s a flat 13%.

Example: a CAD $50 gig → 13% = CAD $6.50 fee → total CAD $56.50.

Safety

Every partner completes Stripe Identity verification (government ID) before they can apply to a single gig. You can review their profile, ratings, and completed gigs before picking them — and chat in-app, track their location en route, and rate them after. If something goes wrong, open a support ticket in the app or email support@toobusyto.ca.
